Job summary

Clow Valve Company in Oskaloosa, IA, is hiring for a 3rd shift Maintenance Janitor. Hours are 7:30pm-6:00am with a wage of $26.18 per hour and a $1.20 per hour differential.

Duties include cleaning, sweeping, mopping, waste disposal, restroom and break area upkeep, and ensuring safe workspaces; may assist with minor maintenance and inventory. Health insurance available after 120 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting up to 90 times per hour.
• Standing & walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.
• Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions inside & outside.
• Ability to wear PPE including safety glasses, metatarsal guarded boots, hearing protection, respirators, welding mask, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in a manufacturing facility
• Sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing floors
• Disposing of waste
• Cleaning restrooms and break areas
• Ensuring workspaces remain safe and free of debris.
• The janitor may also assist with minor maintenance tasks and inventory of cleaning supplies.
