Position Details

• The hours for this position are from 10pm-6am. Two positions available: Eco Filler Operator and Melter Operator.

Job Purpose

Machine Operator-I is responsible for operating all aspects of a single machine on the production floor. Duties include preparing machines, inspecting parts for quality, performing routine maintenance and adjustments, maintaining accurate records, and training employees to be back-up operators.

Responsibilities

1. Training new employees and back-up operators
2. Following specifications and preparing machines for production runs
3. Monitoring machines during operation for issues
4. Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs
5. Ensuring output meets quality standards
6. Adhering to safety procedures and wearing protective gear
7. Maintaining a clean and safe work area
8. Keeping activity logs and production paperwork
9. Following shift leadership instructions and asking questions when uncertain
10. Inputting data into systems such as ERP and Safety Chain
11. Learning new tasks and growing within the company

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of machine operating experience
• At least 1 year of production experience
• Experience with Cavana, enrobers, or matrix machines preferred
• Ability to learn Panel View interface and operate advanced equipment
• Ability to perform equipment maintenance and cleaning
• Chocolate/tempering experience is a plus
• Proficiency in reading and writing English

Working Conditions

• Ability to work any/all shifts, including overtime, holidays, and weekends
• Standing/walking for long periods
• Adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements

Physical Requirements

• Non-slip work shoes
• Ability to work on your feet for 8+ hours
• Pre-shift stretching and exercises
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Wearing hair restraints, beard nets, gloves as needed
• Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively
