Job summary

Mrs. Gerry’s Kitchen, LLC is seeking a 3rd Shift Machine Operator-2 for the North-side production area in Albert Lea, MN. The role begins at 10:00 PM Sunday–Thursday, with varying end times based on production needs.

You will operate and monitor equipment, ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months related experience, and the ability to read English documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or equivalent combination preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English safety and operating instructions.
• Ability to operate basic math for measurements and conversions.
• Forklift and/or pallet jack license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow MGK HACCP, SQF, SOP, and SSOP programs.
• Comply with all Food Safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE.
• Set up, sanitize, wash down, and break down machinery per SOPs.
• Operate and monitor machines for efficiency and proper operation.
• Ensure lids, containers and labels match product.
• Verify weights and dates on products and boxes.
• Utilize metal detectors.
• Box and palletize products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

3rd Shift Machine Operator - 2 will be responsible for understanding and operating assigned equipment located on the North side of the plant. They will ensure products are packaged to Mrs. Gerry’s quality and safety standards.

What You’ll Do

As our 3 rd ShiftMachine Operator - 2, you’ll:

• Learn and follow all MGK HACCP, SQF, SOP, and SSOP programs.
• Always comply with all Food Safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Set up, sanitize, wash down, and break down machinery per standard operating procedures.
• Operate and monitor all machines for efficiency and proper operation.
• Ensure all lids, containers and box labels represent the product being filled.
• Ensure weight of each container of salad per product specifications.
• Verify all dates and product names on product and boxes.
• Utilize and adjust metal detectors.
• Box and palletize products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend documentation in English including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Utilize calculators to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to obtain forklift and/or pallet jack license.
• Ability to lift and/or carry occasionally up to 40 pounds.
