POSITION SUMMARY

This position involves the safe operation of process machinery in the production of Molybdenum bar products. The role includes cross-training on saws and lathes to ensure versatility within the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate machines in the Metals department, with the ability to work across multiple work centers after training, including but not limited to:
    • Saws (end trim, order preparation)
    • Grinders (large and small, including centerless grinders)
    • Lathes (manual mills and lathes)
  • Set up equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Follow instructions from production orders or supervisors.
  • Maintain proper identification of materials throughout production stages.
  • Record production data accurately in Global Shop.
  • Weigh, measure, and monitor materials as required for each process step.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
  • Ability to use measurement devices such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers, or willingness to learn.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to learn new processes and adapt to production changes.
