Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | D-Shift (3-2-2-3 Schedule)
Location: Sumter, SC
Pay Rate: $13.00/hr + $+1.50 shift differential
Department: Manufacturing / Molding
Job Type: Full-Time (Contract)

Position Summary:

A-Line Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Injection Mold Machine Operator to join the 3rdshift team in a fast-paced medical device manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating multi-cavity injection molding machines and performing minor maintenance tasks to ensure consistent production of high-quality molded components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment to manufacture components in compliance with quality specifications.

  • Monitor and inspect molded parts for quality, and promptly report any deviations.

  • Request technical support when needed to maintain part quality and minimize downtime.

  • Conduct minor maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure continuous production.

  • Load surplus molded components into inventory and track materials as required.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of raw materials and products produced in the department.

  • Keep machinery and work areas clean and organized in compliance with GMP standards.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to maintain production during breaks or staffing shortages.

  • Follow all relevant documentation, including work instructions, forms, and maintenance procedures.

  • Perform thorough product inspections and make quality decisions as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting ; experience with electric and hydraulic injection molding presses highly desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

  • Familiarity with GMP regulations and manufacturing documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery and production noise.

  • Requires standing for extended periods and manual handling of materials.

  • Must wear appropriate PPE and adhere to safety protocols.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
