Job summary

Abrasive Technology in Lewis Center, OH, is seeking a Furnace Plater Trainee for the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 11:00pm-7:30am). Starting pay is $18.00/hour plus a $3.00 shift differential, with 80 hours holiday pay, generous PTO, and quarterly bonuses. Overtime available but not mandatory.

No electroplating experience required; training will be provided. Responsibilities include loading components for furnace plating, operating furnaces, monitoring process parameters, maintaining materials,

Qualifications

• No prior electroplating experience required; training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in manufacturing or metal finishing is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; good communication and teamwork.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and load medical and dental components for furnace plating operations.
• Operate vacuum, inert gas, or controlled-atmosphere furnaces used in plating of superabrasive parts.
• Control and monitor process parameters including temperature and atmosphere using automated control systems.
• Maintain plating materials and furnace consumables according to traceability rules.
• Verify part condition before/after processing; inspect coating quality.
• Document process data and deviations in compliance with ISO/GMP standards.
• Support process validation and assist engineering in qualifying new parameters or equipment.
