Job summary

Abrasive Technology is seeking a Furnace Plater Trainee for the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 11:00pm-7:30am) in Lewis Center, OH. Training provided; no prior electroplating experience required.

Earn $19.00 per hour plus a $3.00 shift differential, with overtime available and generous PTO and quarterly bonuses. Responsibilities include loading components, operating furnaces, monitoring process parameters, documenting data per ISO/GMP, and maintaining cleanroom protocols.

Qualifications

• No prior electroplating experience required; training provided.
• Experience in manufacturing or metal finishing is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and load components for furnace plating per work instructions.
• Operate furnaces for metallization, brazing, or nickel plating.
• Monitor temperature and atmosphere using automated controls.
• Maintain plating materials and consumables with traceability.
• Document batch data and process deviations per ISO/GMP.
• Support process validation and aid engineering with new parameters.
• Follow cleanroom protocols to prevent product contamination.
• Adhere to EHS chemical handling and PPE procedures.
