Job summary

Crown Battery Mfg. in Fremont, OH is seeking a SLI Forklift Operator to move materials, support production needs, and ensure safe handling of hazardous waste according to plant rules.

You will follow work instructions, report non-conformities, and maintain logs for scrap and hazardous waste while complying with Health, Safety and Environmental policies. Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience and forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience with safety and environmental training.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving; forklift experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, racks, skids and other materials to the line to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
• Label and manage hazardous waste and scrap containers according to procedures.
• Enter scrap and hazardous waste data into daily logs.
• Follow plant Health, Safety and Environmental rules and Crown Quality System documentation.
