Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is currently hiring for a 3rd shift forklift operator at our Batavia, NY facility. The role starts with orientation on 1st shift and transitions to 3rd shift, with overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

You will operate a 10,000 lb sit-down forklift, manage inbound/outbound shipments, and maintain safe, clean work areas while complying with plant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience operating a forklift, clamp truck, or similar equipment.
• Experience with loading/unloading trailers is a plus.
• Comfort with being assigned to 3rd shift after orientation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 10,000 lb sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Ensure accurate record keeping for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and safe.
• Pull whip and raw material for production support.
• Verify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperwork.
