Job Summary

Forklift Operator II is responsible for loading and unloading materials on trucks and rail cars. Maintains accurate paperwork and shipping/receiving records. Works under immediate supervision, following specific instructions.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars.
• Moves materials between storage and work areas as required.
• Breaks packs to correct size and labels materials before loading.
• Performs general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Completes pre-shift startup checklists and reports issues.
• Maintains an organized and clean yard.
• Completes required paperwork.
• Empties trash and wood hoppers.
• Follows forklift safety rules and company policies.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th-grade education; High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prefer 6 months to 1 year of forklift or similar equipment operation experience.
• Basic math and inventory knowledge preferred.
