Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking Forklift Operators for our Lebanon, TN corrugated sheet feeder plant. The role involves operating forklifts and clamp trucks to move raw materials, with overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, plus $1.00 after a 90‑day probation and a $2.25 shift differential on 3rd shift. Candidates must meet safety standards and obtain required equipment licenses.

Qualifications

• Experience operating clamp trucks, forklifts, or similar mobile equipment in industrial environments.
• Ability to obtain Georgia-Pacific mobile equipment licenses and permits.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Unload incoming paper roll stock from trucks or railcars using a clamp truck
• Transport large/heavy paper rolls to and from manufacturing process staging areas
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized raw material storage area
• Maintain accurate paper inventory records in computer systems with scan guns
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on and fuel clamp trucks

Position

Georgia‑Pacific is looking for Forklift Operators at our Lebanon, TN corrugated sheet feeder plant.

Salary & Compensation

• $21.00 per hour + $1.00 after 90 day probationary period
• 3rd shift differential $2.25 per hour
• Additional increases based on skills and performance

Shift

• Flexible to work any shift; currently hiring for 3rd shift
• Orientation on 1st shift (8:00‑16:00); permanent 2nd shift after orientation
• Includes overtime, holidays, weekends, subject to point‑based attendance program

Shift Hours

• 1st shift: Monday‑Friday 6:00‑14:00 & weekend/overtime as needed
• 2nd shift: Monday‑Friday 14:00‑22:00 & weekend/overtime as needed
• 3rd shift: Monday‑Friday 22:00‑6:00 & weekend/overtime as needed

Job Overview

Forklift Operators work any shift, including weekends and overtime, in an unair‑conditioned, noisy, fast‑paced environment. Tasks include loading, unloading, and moving raw materials throughout a warehouse and manufacturing process using a forklift, with inventory tracked by electronic scan guns for at least eight (8) hours a day, up to 12 hours. Success requires a strong commitment to safety standards and knowledge of mobile equipment operations in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Requirements

• Previous experience safely operating clamp trucks, forklifts, tow motors, or other mobile equipment in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or warehouse environments
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Georgia‑Pacific mobile equipment license and other permits required for operating mobile equipment

Preferred Experience

• Experience driving a forklift in a paper or packaging manufacturing facility
• Experience driving a propane or gas‑powered lift truck
• Experience using a computer for record‑keeping and documentation functions
