Job summary

Sharp Packaging Services, a leader in pharmaceutical and biotechnology packaging, seeks a Facilities Mechanic to maintain multi-building cGMP environments in Allentown, PA. You will operate HVAC, BAS, electrical and plumbing systems and support capital projects, driving reliability and compliance.

The role requires 5-8 years in facilities/mechanical trades, plus experience in CMMS/QMS environments and familiarity with BAS controls.

Qualifications

5-8 years of facilities mechanic or MEP trade experience.
Biopharma cGMP experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with BAS controls preferred.
Strong HVAC, analytical, technical, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to read drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

Safely operate and maintain warehouse and production buildings including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, fire life safety systems, doors, elevators and building envelope.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and document work in CMMS.
Guide vendors and obtain quotations for maintenance and replacement projects.
Conduct inspections, rounds and readings; respond to BAS alarms.
Support facilities projects, GMP/GDP compliance, capital planning and operational improvements.
Work extended hours as needed.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
Identify code, safety, energy efficiency and sustainability compliance gaps.
