Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Custodian for Minnetonka Middle School East (MME). The role covers routine cleaning, basic maintenance and security duties for an eight-hour, 12-month shift on the third shift (3:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.).

Base pay is $21.34 per hour with a 65-cent/hour differential for the 3rd shift, and benefit eligibility applies. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms and lavatories, assisting with project cleaning, and coordinating with the head custodian

Qualifications

Detail oriented with ability to organize and maintain records.
Demonstrated accurate mathematical skills.
Customer service oriented with positive interpersonal skills.
Pre-placement physical capabilities examination completed at district expense.

Responsibilities

Performs routine and project cleaning of classrooms, offices and corridors.
Maintains lavatories and locker rooms, cleans and disinfects, refills dispensers.
Performs minor maintenance duties (filters, bulbs, trim, paint).
Secures facility by locking doors/windows and activating alarms.
Performs exterior maintenance including lawn care, windows, sidewalks removal of ice/snow.
Reports building needs to the head custodian.
Maintains positive relationships with staff, students and public.
Under Head Custodian direction, coordinates and directs custodial staff for projects.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or skill.
