Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a third shift Environmental Test Engineer to support the Clifton facility. The role focuses on Environmental Stress Screening and Qualification testing for Electronic Warfare products, including temperature, vibration, altitude, and humidity, in a 24/7 operation.

The candidate should have strong hands-on instrumentation skills and be able to collaborate with managers, engineers, technicians, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform Environmental Testing- Temperature, Vibration, Altitude, and Humidity – of all products.
• Set up equipment, run, and monitor environmental test.
• Report and communicate information related to tests.
• Participate in department activities, such as Shop Meetings, processing of paperwork, communication, and tracking of issue resolution.
• Participate in failure Root Cause Analysis.
• Train other personnel in similar roles.
• Communicate with department team members regarding status and next actions.
• Perform instrumentation of Qualification units, interacting with several stakeholders, such as Managers, Engineers, Technicians, and Customers.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance required.
