Job summary

York MW (IL) – Elgin, IL 60124 is seeking an Electrician Technician to troubleshoot and repair equipment, minimize downtime, and support the maintenance team on various projects.

Responsibilities include electrical troubleshooting, wiring, replacing components, reading schematics, and working with PLCs to keep production running. 3rd shift, off-hours as needed, with safety compliance and teamwork driving daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with contractors and team members.
• Understanding of industrial facilities electrical systems.
• Ability to work additional hours and weekends as needed.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Word is a plus.
• 4 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proficient with electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Test and replace fuses, solenoids, contactors/relays.
• Test and replace proximity/limit switches and breakers.
• Read schematics/blueprints to troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC control circuits and motors/drives.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and ladder logic; work with other techs by phone/online.
• Perform project work with little supervision.
• Communicate effectively with foreign and domestic techs.
