Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Hodges, SC is seeking an EHS Technician for the 3rd shift to support the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. The role runs 11:30 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Friday, with a base rate of $24.73 per hour plus a $1 per hour shift differential.

Eligible for a variable incentive program. Responsibilities include inspections, risk assessments, investigations, training coordination, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health, or Safety in a manufacturing environment or a combination of those functions.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Eaton's EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations; lead investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS documentation and compliance records.
• Champion ownership of three MESH programs and participate in EHS teams and initiatives.
• Coordinate and support EHS training for employees and contractors.
• Monitor safety equipment and emergency supplies to ensure readiness.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities including waste management and air emissions tracking.
• Motivate and engage employees to promote safety and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Site EHS Manager on strategy and succession planning.
• Perform complex product assembly safely according to Standard Work and production schedules.
• Move materials with lift-assist equipment; lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
