Job Summary & Duties
  1. Direct and coordinate activities of distribution facilities, establishing operational procedures for shipments and inventory management.
  2. Coordinate with sales, record control, and purchasing departments to ensure merchandise availability.
  3. Communicate daily with cross-functional teams including outside carriers, plants, sales, and finance.
  4. Operate within a Tier 1 or Tier 3 Depot, or a Tier 2 Depot with multiple Coordinators, or a hub with additional leadership.
Essential Duties
  • Review bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders to plan work activities.
  • Assign workers to verify and store incoming merchandise and assemble customer orders.
  • Load and unload trucks, pick and sort products as needed.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and adhere to safety and food safety protocols.
  • Report safety, food safety, and security incidents, and implement improvements.
  • Communicate professionally and report employee issues to leadership.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Planning, Sales, and Transportation for daily operations.
  • Print and verify accuracy of orders for customer pickup or shipment.
  • Manage reclamation of damaged merchandise.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting productivity, and maintain accurate records for various operational aspects.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED, with at least 1 year of related warehouse or depot experience.

Physical Requirements

Requires frequent sitting, handling, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasional standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Moderate noise level typical of warehouse settings.
