Qualifications

DHT Group, based out of Reese, Michigan, has been ensuring safety and satisfaction for over 40 years. We have facilities in Michigan (Reese, Newport, Port Huron) and Ohio (Bellefontaine). Our divisions include Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply, along with full-service repair facilities.

We are actively seeking candidates for 3rd shift diesel mechanic positions at our Reese facility.

Position Details:

• Full-time with benefits
• 24-hour repair facility
• 3rd shift (11pm-7am)

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, including testing and adjustments.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Identify mechanical problems visually and/or with diagnostic equipment.
• Perform diagnostics on specific components and systems to ensure proper operation.

Minimum Requirements:

• 6 months to 1 year diesel mechanic experience
• Ability to work the 3rd shift
• Knowledge to diagnose diesel engines, transmissions, and differentials
• Strong communication skills and team orientation

Physical Requirements:

• Lift at least 35 pounds
• Bend, stretch, kneel, squat for repairs and inspections
• Good vision for inspecting work
• Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery
• Pass a drug and alcohol screening
