Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an Overhead Crane Operator for the 3rd shift in South Milwaukee, WI. You will operate 30-ton or larger cranes, rig loads, and move heavy materials on a busy manufacturing line.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a pay range of $22.38–$29.47 per hour, plus a $2,000 sign-on/retention bonus and a $1.00/hr shift premium. A comprehensive benefits package is included along with pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating 30-ton+ overhead or jib cranes.
• Crane operator training and certification completed.
• Familiarity with rigging practices and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate 30-ton or larger overhead cranes and jib cranes to move heavy materials.
• Safely hitch, unhitch, raise, lower, and position loads using proper rigging techniques.
• Select and inspect rigging equipment including chains, clevises, hooks, and slings.
• Identify, receive, load, move, and store materials throughout the facility.
• Operate power lift trucks as needed.
• Follow documented procedures and standard work to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
