Job summary

International Paper in Tampa, FL seeks a dependable team member to operate corrugation equipment safely and efficiently, assisting the operator to maintain line output.

You will monitor machine performance, identify defects, perform minor adjustments, and assist with preventive maintenance to meet production goals while keeping a clean, organized work area and complying with all safety and quality policies.

Qualifications

• Able to sustain productivity goals (downtime, MSF produced, etc).
• Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance.
• Provide feedback to supervisor regarding all aspects of shift/machine activity; communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Be able to interpret and understand factory master documents.
• Must have basic computer skills (data entry) and perform basic arithmetic.
• Comply with IP's Safety rules and Quality policies at all times.
• Must have ability to learn and understand machine line up.
• Must be able to interpret various written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.
• Must understand and accurately utilize KIWI.
• Must be dependable and reliable – should not have more than 5 attendance points.
• Willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods.

• Able to perform adjustments during the machine run and maintain production throughout the run.
• Sets up and operates machine meeting established published specifications.
• Ensures all orders are completed to specifications including special instructions if applicable.
• Identifies and makes basic repairs to the machine.
• Assists in completing basic preventive maintenance requirements according to operation standards.
• Assists the operators in meeting production goals.
• Maintains housekeeping standards all the time.
• Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Keeps appropriate records and reports (complete forms, logs, and records accurately – as required).
• Other duties as assigned by Managers and or Supervisors/shift Leader or Operator.
