Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is the go-to leader in sustainable packaging. The Corrugator Operator (Ticket-person) supports manufacturing, conducts quality checks, sets up materials, and maintains a clean workspace on the 3rd shift in Dayton, NY.

Essential duties include operating machine controls, inspecting finished product, handling materials up to 80 lbs, and following safety procedures. This role requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years’ related experience, and basic reading/computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years’ related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Must pass color vision and color hue tests.
• Basic arithmetic skills required.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Must maintain good attendance.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate/Adjust machine controls and computer.
• Visually inspect finished product; advise team leader for quality.
• Remove damaged/defective sheets from finished goods.
• Lift/Carry pallets, corrugated sheets, and supplies up to 80 lbs.
• Execute machine clean up procedures as required.
• Execute weekly machine start-up procedures as required.
• Report machine problems to team leader.
• Communicate effectively in a noisy work environment.
• Operate wireless two-way radio to coordinate with team members.
• Read and follow written/verbal job orders.
• Think and act quickly in a fast-paced production environment.
