Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking a qualified technician to install, configure and troubleshoot automation equipment on site in Illinois. You will work with photo eyes, proximity and limit switches, PLC I/O, and control wiring, while maintaining and troubleshooting servo systems, encoders, load cells and HMI interfaces.
You will program PLCs, modify ladder logic, diagnose Profibus/serial/industrial Ethernet communications, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and production
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Experience troubleshooting analog and digital controls.
- Experience with packaging equipment in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules, and associated control wiring.
- Troubleshoot analog/digital controls and 480V 3-phase power distribution, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; modify ladder logic as needed.
- Diagnose and support communications via Profibus, serial, and industrial Ethernet.
- Preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.
