Job summary

Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. seeks a skilled coil winding assembler to join our heavy electrical transformer team. You will learn to set up, wind, and finish various coil types, follow prints, BOMs, and shop procedures, and uphold safety and quality standards.

This on-site role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift 50 lbs, work 7+ hours, and use winding machines, hand tools, cranes, and de-reelers. Prior winding experience is preferred but not required with training provided.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: prior coil winding, heavy mechanical, manufacturing, or power equipment experience.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow prints, technical data sheets, BOMs to ensure exact alignment and assembly.
• Set up, wind, and finish coil to completion per procedures.
• Operate winding machines, load cylinders to mandrels, and perform material setup.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping; comply with 5S and PPE requirements.
• Assist or train other operators and support quality inspections.
• Conduct self-inspections and support process improvements.
