Job summary

Bull Moose Tube Company in Chicago Heights, IL seeks a full-time CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator for 3rd shift (4 p.m. to 12 a.m.). You will maintain tooling, operate a CNC lathe with a Fanuc panel, and support mill changeovers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of an apprenticeship program in machining and CNC, or 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong verbal and math skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read tooling drawings and enter roll dimensions in Fanuc control panel.
• Able to work overtime and/or varied shifts.
• Able to operate forklift and lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cutoff dies and install new jaws for each mill changeover.
• Sort cutoff blades and jaws for regrinding.
• Operate a CNC lathe with a Fanuc panel to polish and regrind rolls.
• Operate forklift and chain hoist.
• Replace bearings on all idler rolls.
• Prepare tooling set-up carts for each mill changeover.
• Maintain, breakdown, and reset dead targets, flash rod assemblies, Turk's head clevises, spacers and weld roll clevises.
