Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Mendota, IL seeks a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to provide safe basic care to patients, take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, collect specimens, observe changes, and document in patient charts. You will communicate with the care team to ensure continuity of care and may supervise patients as needed.

Required: High School/GED; Illinois CNA credential; BLS for healthcare provider CPR; EMT-B license; 6+ months in clinical care

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED.
• Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider CPR.
• Nursing credentials: Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Work, OR; EMT-B license in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe basic patient care including vital signs and ADLs.
• Assist with specimen collection and monitor patient condition.
• Record information in chart and communicate with care team; may supervise patients as needed.
