Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to provide safe basic care, take vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and collect specimens. You will document information in patient charts and communicate with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care.

Duties may vary by department and may include supervision of patients as needed. This is an hourly, on-site position with a total rewards package, including a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• CPR (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS) required.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment and in supporting patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe basic patient care including taking vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Collect specimens and observe patients for physical or emotional changes.
• Document information in patient charts and communicate with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care.
• May function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed.
