Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Clamp Truck Operator at our Ohio facility to support corrugator operations by supplying the corrugator with paper material using a clamp truck.

You will also assist the team to maximize setup and operation in a safe, timely manner. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and lift truck experience; the role requires reading safety rules and procedures, and the ability to interpret English and metric measurements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; lift truck experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to interpret factory orders and procedures; write routine reports.
• Math skills to read tape measures in English and metric.

Responsibilities

• Move rolls and organize work-in-process area.
• Maintain a clean work area, sweeping and removal of Trash.
• Manage roll room inventory and roll room presentation.
• Reconcile end of shift consumption daily.
• Report any incoming damaged rolls and dress rolls down when needed.
• Complete stock take/cycle counts daily.
• Manage butt rolls.
• Complete all tasks associated with preventative maintenance program.
• Correct delivery of all roll stock.
• Removes all waste at end of shift or as needed from docks and corrugator.
• Provides back up to the Roll Handler as required.
• Maintain enough paper on the floor to prevent corrugator from going down.
• Adjust to scheduling changes as customer needs require.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervision

Education

High School diploma or GED

Lift truck experience preferred
