Georgia-Pacific in Batavia, NY is hiring a 3rd shift Clamp Truck Operator to safely load/unload trailers and manage corrugated stock in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will rotate from 1st shift orientation to 3rd shift after training, with overtime, holidays, and weekend work as needed. Prior clamp truck experience and adaptability to a heavy industrial setting are required.

Georgia-Pacific is looking for safety-oriented individuals to join our team as 3rd shift Clamp Truck Operator in our Batavia, NY facility. At our corrugated sheet feeder plant we manufacture and supply high-quality corrugated sheets used to produce packaging and shipping containers for a wide range of industries.

• $27.00-$29.75 per hour based on skill & experience.
• 3rd Shift Differential: $1.50 per hour

Shift:

• Currently hiring for 3rd shift only; 11:00pm- 7:00am
• The first (2-4) weeks of orientation will be on 1st shift (7am - 3pm), then you will be assigned to 3rd shift after your orientation.
• Only candidates who are flexible and available to workovertime, holidays, and weekends as needed will be considered.

Shift Hours:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM(Starts Monday night)
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

What You Will Do

• Safely operate a sit-down clamp truck to load and unload trailers
• Unloading railcars in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is needed
• Support roll stock inventory management activities, including rotation, tracking, and cycle counts.
• Ensure accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments
• Work collaboratively with other team members
• Ensure a safe work environment throughout the facility by removing debris from areas within the warehouse
• Perform work that requires lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, stooping, standing, and sitting for 8, and occasionally up to 12 hours per day
• Maintain quality of product in warehouse areas and warehouse inventory
• Supply paper rolls to the corrugator according to the production schedule, ensuring material availability for planned runs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through roll scanning at each station and return usable butt rolls to inventory.
• Perform mobile equipment inspection and blowdown each day.

• Experience using a clamp truck to load and unload trailers.
• Experience in manufacturing, military, landscaping, carpentry, construction, warehouse, production, or farming environment.
