Job summary

A leading passenger transportation company in New Britain, CT is seeking a Bus Cleaner to ensure the cleanliness and safety of buses. This position involves inspecting and cleaning various areas of buses and requires a valid CT driver's license. Candidates should have stamina for physical work and be able to pass driving tests and background checks. The work schedule is Thursday through Monday from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM, with an hourly compensation of $21.50 to $26.00.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass in-yard driving test of all vehicles.
• Pass a Human Performance Examination (HPE) and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean all luggage storage bays and passenger areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and clean thoroughly.
• Sanitize floors, fixtures and clean the exterior of the vehicle.
• Fuels buses and understands OSHA safety rules.
• Maneuver large vehicles including double deckers around the facility.

DATTCO has an opening for a Bus Cleaner at our New Britain, CT location.

The work schedule is Thursday through Monday from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM. The scheduled days off are Tuesday and Wednesday. The schedule is subject to change depending on demand.

Primary Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean all luggage storage bays, overhead passenger storage areas, windows, and floors
• Empty trash receptacles and trash from interior of vehicle
• Brush and vacuum as needed
• Sanitize floors and fixtures
• Clean exterior of vehicle
• Fuels buses as needed
• Understand OSHA safety rules and promotes a safe work environment
• Ability to move and park different types of buses
• Stamina to work a physical job that requires hard and detailed work in a fast paced environment.
• Valid CT driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• 18+ years old.
• Must be able to pass an in-yard driving test of all vehicles.
• Must be able to maneuver large vehicles including double decker’s around facility.
• Pass a Human Performance Examination (HPE), physical exam, background investigation and drug test prior to hire.
• ATTENTION: This is a safety sensitive position as determined by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and requires inclusion in a random drug testing pool which determines the usage of prohibited substances, including recreational marijuana.
