About The Role

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do
  1. Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
  2. Ensure facility and building systems meet standards and comply with all applicable codes and safety regulations.
  3. Maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
  4. Assist with preventive maintenance to extend machinery and system lifespan and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  5. Handle hazardous materials responsibly, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
  6. Review inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing systems to ensure proper operation and environmental compliance.
  7. Apply technical knowledge to solve complex issues and provide innovative solutions.
  8. Mentor colleagues and share knowledge across the team.
  9. Lead by example, demonstrating CBRE's RISE values and fostering team consensus.
  10. Impact customer, operational, and project activities within and outside the team.
  11. Work within broad guidelines and explain technical information clearly.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant experience; experience and education may be combined in lieu of a diploma.
  • Universal CFC certification preferred; other certifications/licenses as required by local laws.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving stooping, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to analyze information and exercise judgment.
  • Openness to new perspectives and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and mathematical aptitude for financial calculations.
