Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Illinois is seeking personnel for 3rd shift blood component production. The role involves manufacturing RBCs, fresh frozen plasma, and other products under SOPs, with on-call and rotating weekend duties.

Eligible employees receive medical/dental/vision plans, a 7% 401(k) match, PTO, and wellness programs. Compensation includes shift differentials and a target hourly rate of $18.40.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read, interpret, and write operating forms and manuals.
• Proficient with computers and data entry.
• Detail oriented with problem-solving ability.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures Red Blood Cells (RBCs), Fresh Frozen Plasma, and recovered plasma.
• Manufactures Neonatal RBCs and related products.
• Performs leukoreduction and labeling to meet regulatory standards.
• Ensures proper storage and inventory of blood products.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and records QC data.
• Works weekend, holiday rotations and on-call as needed.
• Complies with all policies and safety procedures.
