Job summary

Silgan Dispensing Systems is seeking an Assembly Associate for the Grandview, MO plant. The role supports assembly equipment and auto packers to meet daily production goals. You will load, unload, and move materials, maintain cleanliness, and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The position is 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with weekend availability and shift differential. Safety, quality, and efficiency are core expectations across the plant.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent; One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Be in assigned area at the start of shift wearing all necessary PPE and ready to begin work.
• Perform all tasks on the Assembly Associate Standard Worksheets and note completion times.
• Unjam parts and recycle assembly machines and auto packers (robots) safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials by hand onto or from pallets, boxes, bins and shelves.
• Maintain acceptable visual quality by conducting 5 on Top inspections and check parts for grease or damage.
