Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a 3rd Shift Assembly Production Manager in Sanford, NC to lead daily operations, drive safety, and ensure production schedules meet customer demand.

The role emphasizes process improvement, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and workforce development, with a focus on collaboration and cost efficiency across the plant.

You will oversee staffing, material flow, maintenance, and punctual delivery of products while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of process improvement with focus on continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
• Working knowledge of talent management processes and ability to lead, motivate, evaluate, and reward employees.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and day-to-day plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and improves shop floor safety; aggressively eliminates unsafe processes.
• Assures fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedules.
• Determines priorities and sequences jobs.
• Schedules and prioritizes constrained resources; adjusts staffing to meet flow and customer requirements.
• Determines and executes disciplinary action when appropriate.
• Procures and distributes production material to meet schedules.
• Ensures preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule.
• Implements Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Internal Certification and others.
• Evaluates, assesses, identifies and leads the deployment of workforce training.
• Section Value Stream Mapping.

Caterpillar is seeking a 3rd Shift Assembly Production Manager in Sanford, NC. In this role, you will collaborate with the team and maintaining and improving processes and systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements.

• A working knowledge in Talent Management: Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes; ability to lead, motivate, evaluate, and reward employees at the workplace.
• A working knowledge of Manufacturing Operations: Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.

Summary Pay Range

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
