The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Report safety concerns or issues to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily housekeeping.
  • Complete make-ready according to Job Ticket and Product Specification documents, ensuring correct use of print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers.
  • Perform all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional assessments, including press-side quality checks.
  • Operate press to produce products according to customer specifications, maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and optimizing press efficiency.
  • Maintain consistent quality during production, focusing on copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion, ensuring conformance to all quality standards.
  • Complete procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
  • Perform press make-ready efficiently.
  • Carry out all required equipment maintenance duties.
  • Clean plates, cylinders, ink pans, and lubricate press as needed.
  • Input all relevant information into the GlobeTek system accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a printing press operator or relevant training.
  • Physical ability to stand, feel, reach, talk, hear, walk frequently, and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
