3rd Party Claims Examiner (Must reside in TX)

DB Insurance is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented 3rd Party Claims Examiner, especially with claims involving bodily injury and litigation in Texas, to join our team. In this role, you will handle claims involving third-party liability, specifically in commercial trucking and business policies, working to resolve them efficiently while ensuring fair settlements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve third-party claims including bodily injury, property damage, and liability claims in litigation for commercial trucking and business policies
• Gather and review relevant documentation such as statements, police reports, medical reports, and legal documents
• Handle claims in-house and oversee claims managed by TPA (Third-Party Administrator)
• Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, and involved parties
• Determine coverage, injury evaluation, liability, and settlement amounts, ensuring compliance with policy terms and regulations
• Communicate with claimants, attorneys, and third parties to resolve claims promptly and fairly
• Prepare detailed reports on claim status, investigation results, and settlement recommendations
• Negotiate settlements following company policies and industry best practices
• Maintain accurate claim records in the management system
• Stay updated on Texas laws, industry trends, and insurance regulations
• Collaborate with legal teams and other departments as needed
• Attend mediations or trials when necessary

Qualifications:

• Reside in Texas
• Must have experience working remotely
• Minimum 4+ years as a 3rd Party Claims Adjuster handling bodily injury and property damage claims in Texas
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and third-party liability claims processes
• Excellent negotiation, investigation, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage high claim volume and prioritize effectively
• Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace
• Knowledge of Texas insurance laws and legal processes
• Experience with complex or high-value claims
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Experience working with legal professionals or in litigation environments
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
