Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks an immediate Long-Term Substitute Teacher for 3rd grade at Summit Hall Elementary School. You will plan and provide engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and collaborate with the 3rd-grade team to support diverse learners in a MCPS curriculum-aligned classroom.

The position requires strong communication with students, families, and staff, and adherence to MCPS procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MCPS curriculum and effective instructional practices.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students.
• Supervise students in various school settings and monitor outcomes.
• Develop, select and modify instructional plans to meet student needs.
• Maintain records and follow MCPS procedures; communicate with families.
