Facilities PLUS is a full-service facilities and telecommunications management company serving many clients across the United States. We are currently seeking a full-time Local 99 3rd Class Operating Engineer for a client based in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will be based in Washington, DC, and will perform the duties of a 3rd class operating engineer as outlined below. All interested candidates must either be members of Local 99 or willing to join Local 99 of the IUOE.

Required Licensure

• Must hold a current Washington DC 3rd Class Operating Engineers license.

Duties Include

• Responsible to their immediate supervisor for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment in their assigned plant during their shift, including:
• All boilers, accessories, and appurtenances.
• All fired or unfired pressure vessels and vacuum systems.
• All refrigeration and air conditioning machinery and related equipment, including maintenance of cold storage spaces.
• All plumbing and piping systems, including water, gas, heating, steam, and sanitation.
• All electrical appliances and fixtures, including lighting.
• All emergency power equipment.
• All electric motors, generators, circuits, and switchgear.
• All machinery used in production and for the health and comfort of the employer's personnel.
• Any equipment under the supervision of the Chief Engineer.
• Energy management systems, including related software and hardware, whether or not under third-party contracts.

Current Shift Available

• Monday - Friday, 12pm - 8pm
