Job summary

Grow Public School in Kern County seeks an Elementary & Middle School Teacher to implement state‑aligned lessons, and to collaborate with coaches, ESY staff, and learning labs to meet school goals. You will differentiate for ELLs and students with IEPs, while maintaining rigorous standards and engaging learning experiences.

Responsibilities include using diverse assessment tools, maintaining records, communicating with families, and mentoring peers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • CA state Multiple or Single subject teaching credential or intern credential, with an English Learner Authorization.
  • Demonstrated mastery of classroom skills including classroom management, planning, assessment and instructional practice.
  • Proficiency with various technologies and teaching tools.
  • Bilingual ability preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute the adopted GPS Units of Study and high-quality instructional materials.
  • Prepare and implement integrated lessons aligned to state standards.
  • Differentiate lesson plans for diverse learners (ELLs and/or students with IEPs).
  • Participate in weekly instructional coaching activities and implement next steps.
  • Provide experiential learning opportunities including ESY curriculum integration and project-based learning.
