Job summary

Academies of Math and Science in Peoria, AZ is seeking passionate 3rd–5th Grade ELA teachers to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned literacy instruction and build foundational skills in reading, writing, and thinking. You will use data to guide planning and support a positive, high-expectations classroom culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Arizona teaching certification or eligible for a teaching position in Arizona.
• Minimum of three years of K–12 teaching experience.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and data-driven instructional mindset.
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.
• Collaborate effectively within a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
• Differentiate instruction to meet students performing above and below grade level.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to plan and adjust instruction and interventions.
• Build foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Establish a structured, positive classroom culture with high expectations and PBIS.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to improve teaching practices.
