  • Excellent customer service focus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care, including interventions and re-evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Participates in the admission/discharge/transfer process.
  • Thoroughly documents clinical findings, assessments, and interventions.
  • Administers prescribed medication(s) and treatment(s) in accordance with nursing standards and the individual patient’s plan of care.
  • Notifies patients/families/responsible parties of changes in patient clinical status.
  • Communicates patient status to the Unit Manager and other members of the interdisciplinary team as necessary.
  • Review and investigate patient, family, and staff concerns; take action to resolve and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Ensures compliance with company policy as well as federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
  • Effectively collaborates with medical staff and other departments to coordinate all aspects of patient care.
  • Supervises the delivery of care provided by nursing assistants.
  • Identify training needs and communicate to Unit Manager or Staff Development Coordinator.
  • Participates in training and/or precepting of new staff.
  • Attends training, in-service education, and staff meetings.
  • Attend patient/family meetings including care plans as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the healthcare center.
