Job description

A leading transportation company is looking for a Truck Freight Sales Executive to sell their transportation services to local companies in and around the Philadelphia area. You will develop, secure, grow, and maintain revenue and margin for the corporation within your designated accounts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :
  1. Customer Relationships – Develop and maintain relationships via face-to-face sales calls on all assigned accounts, including appropriate entertainment as approved by Sales Management. Penetrate accounts at multiple levels within their organization, including the executive level. The 3PL Truck Freight Sales Executive will also build relationships with potential future accounts.
  2. Sales Plans & Strategy – Develop and implement sales plans for primary accounts to achieve specified revenue and margin goals. Strategy and planning will be reviewed and approved by Sales Management. The Sales Executive will manage the process and ensure the profitability of assigned accounts, reviewing data monthly on purchase transportation, contribution margin, sales outstanding, pricing compliance, etc.
  3. Sales Research – Conduct market research and analysis to uncover new potential business opportunities. Accounts may be added or dropped following established procedures and with the approval of Sales Management.
  4. Sales Systems – Maintain CRM systems to accurately reflect territory activity, contact information, and opportunities. Work extensively with MS Office suite to present and share information internally and externally.
Job Requirements :
  1. B.A. degree preferred; Master’s degree strongly desired.
  2. Ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time.
  3. Prior healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry knowledge is preferred.
  4. Proven ability to sell and service specific vertical markets.
  5. Experience in Corporate or National Account Transportation Sales.
Preferred Experience :
  1. Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  2. Advanced territory management skills are preferred.
  3. Fiscal accountability.
Pay / Benefits :
  1. Pay Range: $78,350.00 - $130,000.00
  2. Quarterly bonuses based on territory goals and individual performance.
  3. Health benefits include medical plans with various coverage options.
