Job summary

Industries of the Blind, Greensboro is seeking a Material Handler to move raw materials and finished goods to the proper work areas and storage locations to support smooth production flow.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and up to 3 years in material handling. You will use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and carts, stand for long periods, and assist with packaging and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a material handler.
• Requires ability to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and perform simple mathematical operations.
• Must be able to move materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supplies operators with materials and moves finished work to next operation.
• Ensure proper movement of work through production.
• Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated locations.
• Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped, including dates and locations.
• Reviews shipments for accuracy and expedites when needed.
• Maintains safety and good housekeeping in work areas.
