Job summary

HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting an Entry-Level (3L) Tax Associate for a full-time role with a nationally recognized tax practice. The position is designed for an outstanding third-year law student pursuing a career in sophisticated tax law, handling domestic and international matters including mergers, transfer pricing, controversy, and cross-border issues.

You will support senior attorneys, perform legal research, drafting, due diligence, and collaborate across practice groups.

Qualifications

• Current 3L law student expected to graduate from an accredited law school.
• Interest in pursuing tax law with strong academic credentials.
• Excellent legal research, writing and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with legal research on federal, state, and international tax matters.
• Analyze complex tax issues affecting corporate transactions and reorganizations.
• Draft memoranda, opinions, correspondence, and tax planning docs.
• Participate in due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and joint ventures.
• Assist with tax controversy, audits, and litigation preparation.
• Research statutes, regulations, and case law; monitor legislation.
• Collaborate across practice groups; produce client-ready work.
• Attend client meetings and internal strategy discussions.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and ethics.
