Job summary
Kitware, a research and development software company, seeks a PhD computer science researcher to advance algorithms for photogrammetry, calibration, and 3D reconstruction from imagery and video. You’ll contribute to TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield while collaborating with colleagues and customers on national security oriented projects.
Applicants should have a strong publication record and experience with multiview geometry and AI/ML methods for 3D reconstruction.
Qualifications
- A PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong publication record in top-tier venues (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV).
- Experience with multiview geometry, 3D reconstruction from imagery or video.
- Experience with AI/ML for 3D reconstruction or calibration.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop algorithms for photogrammetry, camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction.
- Contribute to open source software such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
- Collaborate with researchers to develop ideas and peer-review work.
- Present research findings to customers and collaborators.
- Seek funding to grow research areas and publish results.
