Job summary

MSD is seeking a Growth and Improvement minded 3D Technologies Co-op to support the 3DT Operations team at our West Point lab. You will help manage print queues, assist with printer upgrades, and contribute to continuous improvement projects across CAD, 3D printing, and related services.

This role emphasizes hands-on learning and collaboration with global teams. The position is a fixed-term internship/co-op for 6 months (Apr 2027–Sep 2027) and primarily onsite, with 4–5 days per week in the lab.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• Must be enrolled in an academic program and returning to university after coop assignment to complete graduation requirements.
• Available for full-time employment for 6 months (Apr 2027–Sep 2027).

Responsibilities

• Manage print queue for lab printers and meet project deadlines.
• Repair, upgrade or knowledge-enhance printers to improve speed and reliability.
• Identify lab workflows for improvement and document SOPs for new equipment.
• Participate in post-processing techniques and outreach events as needed.
