Job summary

Formlabs in Boston is seeking a 3D Print Optimization Engineer to push the capabilities of SLA and SLS printers. You will drive root-cause analysis across mechanics, fluids, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, and customer behavior, and design experiments to uncover underlying system dynamics.

Qualifications

• Push capabilities of SLA & SLS platforms across hardware, software and materials.
• Design efficient experiments to tease out underlying behavior in complex systems.
• Perform root-cause analysis across mechanics, fluid dynamics, chemistry, optics and electronics.
• Tackle multi-disciplinary problems with minimal supervision.
• Develop and commercialize solutions that improve print performance.

Responsibilities

• Push the capabilities of SLA & SLS printing platforms.
• Drive root cause analysis across mechanics, fluids, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, and customer behavior.
• Design efficient experiments to reveal underlying behavior in a complex system of variables.
• Tackle multi-disciplinary problems and develop practical solutions for customers.
