Dental Milling Technician

Location: Waunakee, WI
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Summary

D&S Dental Laboratory is seeking a detail-oriented and technology-driven Dental Milling Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining advanced CAD/CAM milling equipment used to manufacture high-quality dental restorations.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with technology, takes pride in producing precise work, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
Milling Operations
  • Prepare, schedule, and manage milling jobs according to production priorities.
  • Operate CNC milling equipment used in the fabrication of dental restorations.
  • Monitor milling processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality results.
  • Load materials, tools, and digital files according to production specifications.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues as they arise.
Quality Control
  • Inspect milled restorations for accuracy, fit, and overall quality.
  • Identify defects and communicate concerns promptly.
  • Ensure all products meet company and customer quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Team Collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding workflow and case status.
  • Assist with cross‑training opportunities between Milling, Greenware, and other production departments as needed.
  • Support production goals by maintaining efficiency and meeting deadlines.
Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current with advancements in milling technology, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute ideas that improve workflow, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
Preferred
  • CNC milling experience
  • Dental laboratory experience
  • CAD/CAM or digital manufacturing experience
  • Manufacturing or production experience
