Fabric8Labs, headquartered in sunny San Diego, CA, is revolutionizing advanced manufacturing with next-generation 3D printing technology. We're looking for an Additive Manufacturing Technician to support Printer Operations as we scale our patented ECAM process for global production.

ECAM uses precise, room-temperature metal deposition to unlock geometries and applications that conventional metal AM can't reach.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating industrial equipment in a hands on environment.
  • Passionate about learning and operating machinery at a high level.
  • Mechanically inclined and willing to investigate issues.
  • Comfortable being trained on new processes.
  • Excellent note taking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail oriented, ability to accurately execute precision steps.
  • A willingness to learn and rapidly iterate.
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical system troubleshooting
  • Hands on experience in chemical handling and testing
  • Experience in mid to high volume manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Learn and quickly become an expert in operating Fabric8Labs' patented electrochemical additive manufacturing (ECAM) printer
  • Monitor ECAM printer operations, and perform starts/stops and maintenance as needed
  • Provide input and feedback to engineering groups on how to improve printer design and operations
  • Generate and follow procedures and work instructions
  • Troubleshoot failures or errors, and participate in failure analysis investigations
  • Responsible for notes and record taking, especially test data

We're looking for an Additive Manufacturing Technician to support Printer Operations as we scale our patented Electrochemical Additive Manufacturing (ECAM) process for global production.

ECAM uses precise, room-temperature metal deposition to unlock geometries and applications that conventional metal AM can't reach. Since announcing our agreement to be acquired by TDK Corporation, we're rapidly expanding our team to advance this disruptive technology across a wide range of electronics components—including data center infrastructure, wireless communications, and power electronics.

As an Additive Manufacturing Technician, you'll be a crucial part of the team, responsible for running and maintaining our ECAM printers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • May require travel (domestic and/or international) dependent on business needs, up to 10%
