Black & Veatch seeks a Mechanical Piping Designer - Staff Engineering Technician to support Advanced Power Generation. The role focuses on 3D piping layouts, model‑based drawings, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Under general supervision, you will work with CAD/BIM tools, apply engineering principles, and contribute to high‑quality deliverables while operating in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate required.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify technical deliverables for engineering projects.
• Create, modify, and maintain CAD/BIM drawings and 3D piping layouts.
• Provide technical guidance to other professionals and technicians.
• Ensure deliverables comply with codes, standards, BV policies, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with design group personnel and support field activities as needed.
• Apply BV Quality Program and pursue continuous improvement.
