Job summary

Abacus is seeking a talented 3D Generalist and Motion Designer to join our Marketing team in Chicago. You will own the end-to-end creation of 3D product renders, animations, 2D motion graphics, and AI-generated video content across LinkedIn, Google Ads, and X.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in design/motion with strong 3D and compositing skills, plus proficiency in Blender/Cinema 4D/Maya, After Effects, and the Adobe suite.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in design, motion, or video production with a portfolio demonstrating 3D rendering and video editing work.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software (Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, or equivalent).
• Experience compositing in After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Blender or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with AI video generation tools (e.g., Google Flow or equivalent).
• Strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
• Experience with Frame.io for review/collaboration/asset management and Figma for design collaboration.
• Knowledge of video specs and best practices for social channels (LinkedIn, Google Ads, X).
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.
• Experience producing visual content for hardware or physical products.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end creation of 3D product renders and 3D product animations.
• Produce 2D motion graphics for marketing channels and campaigns.
• Create AI-generated video content for social and digital ads.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and creative teams to ensure asset quality.
• Ensure assets meet platform specs for LinkedIn, Google Ads, and X.
